Unmotivated

Man, I don’t know what was wrong with me last night, but I just wasn’t in the mood. I Crossfit’ed in the morning, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Adam led class tonight, teaching a new open guard or butterfly guard pass. The key part was switching your hips to get a 90 degree angle on their legs. So, start with one hand on their side by their belt, the other gripping a knee. Switch your hips and pin the knee you have gripped. You’ll end up pressuring their other leg down on top of it. Use your knee to drag their legs up until they’re almost fetal, then you can switch your grip to the top knee and pass arround the back side.

We drilled it for a while, then moved to 50% resistance with rotating partners. I did okay, passing here and there, and occasionally stopping them from passing.

After class, I just wasn’t feeling like doing anything else, so I just called it a night.
