Motivation

I haven’t gone to class much in the past couple of months. It’s been easy to make or find an excuse. Not today though. Enough of that.

Big noon class. Damian led a quick lesson, passing half guard by walking your trapped leg up, using your free knee to provoke him into attempting to sweep, then mounting into an Ezekiel choke. I drilled with Juan.

For rounds, I only had time for two quick ones. One with Juan, and one with a blue belt I don’t know. Did good with Juan. Worked an overhook series of attacks, he broke his posture down for me, then I gringo rolled him into mount. Attacked some there, he upa’d and I transitioned into an omoplata. The other guy did a nice text book pass on me, and isolated my inside arm well. I escaped when he went for the bread cutter choke, and I ducked under. I ended up on top after a simple sweep at the buzzer.

It feels good to go to class. I should make a habit of it.
