Saturday was our semi-annual big belt ceremony. We knew going in that Brady and Casey were getting their blacks, both of which were some time in coming and well deserved.

Hot Rod, Long, and Meli all received browns too. Nicely done on their parts. No time or space for rolling though, which is too bad.

It was a little bittersweet seeing everyone progressing, hearing Damian talk about showing up, training hard, trusting the system, improving, etc. And here I am, getting an hour of rolling in a week, if I’m lucky. They say if you really want something, you’ll find a way to make it happen. Well, I want it. And I can’t make it happen. And its frustrating the hell out of me.
