Firing on all Cylinders

With the Chicago tournament is only a few days away, this was probably the last hard night of training most of those going will put in.

After a long warm up, Tim sat us all down, set the clock and called up Seth and Eric for a 6 minute match. They went the distance with Seth winning by two points. Ron and Renato were up next, with Ron securing an armlock while down on points. Purple belt Mat and Bob also went the distance.

Then, it was everyone’s turn. 7 minute rounds. JP was up first. We had a good match, going the full 7 minutes without a tap. He thought he had me in an omaplata about half way through, but I escaped it.

Also rolled with Ron, Renato and Seth. Did well against them all. It was one of those nights were everything was clicking for me. I got a nice combo against Renato, switching from half guard to take his back, worked the wing choke for a bit until he started to escape and then I switched to a arm triangle and tapped him.
