Butterfly Smashing

The Lung Monkeys are almost gone. The Circle of Death killed my quads, still feeling them, even 5 days later.

Tim led class. We did two butterfly guard passes. The first, from standing, grip their gi at the upper back, near their neck, and at the opposite ankle. Side step away from the ankle, then pull the back, punch the leg and settle down into side control. The other, from butterfly is similar. Grip their upper back (assuming they have the underhook), grip their same side ankle this time, long step back, and either finish in side control, or in the leg drag position.

For rounds I had Dr. Tim, Mason, James, and Erin x2. Erin and I spent half a round rolling, and a round and a half talking about mount escapes. Shes pretty new.
